RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to Memorandum of Understanding No. 24-02 with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, revising the budget to reallocate funds within the budgeted categories, with no change to the contract amount not-to-exceed $800,000 or the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
2. Authorize the Chair of the Board of Supervisors, the Chief Executive Officer, or the Director of the Department of Public Health to execute any subsequent non-substantive amendments and documents regarding Memorandum of Understanding No. 24-02, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Director of the Department of Public Health to transmit all non-substantive amendments regarding Memorandum of Understanding No. 24-02 to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Payments made by the Department of Public Health (DPH) to the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) are not-to-exceed $800,000 and are funded by the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH)'s COVID-19 Public Health Crisis Response and the Public Health Workforce Development Supplemental funding grant through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.
