Recommendation
Approve Program Supplement Agreement No. F161 to Master Agreement No. 08-5954F15 with the State of California Department of Transportation, to provide $230,000 in federal Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending funds toward the $260,000 costs for the Preliminary Engineering phase for the Unincorporated Fontana Safe Routes to School Project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total estimated cost for the Preliminary Engineering (PE) phase of work for an Unincorporated Fontana Safe Routes to School Project (Project) is $260,000. The Project is funded by federal Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending (CPFCDS) funds of $230,000 administered by the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the required local match of $30,000 is funded with Gas Tax revenue. Sufficient appropriation and revenue for the Project is included in the Department of Public Works (Department) 2023-24 Road Operations budget (6650002000 20H15254) and will be included in future recommended budgets, as needed.
