RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, adopt ordinance to repeal Ordinance Nos. FPD 23-02 and FPD 23-03 and to establish fire service fees, fire suppression, emergency response and cost recovery fees, ambulance service and subscription fees, which was introduced on March 26, 2024, Item No. 88.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this action will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) fees are projected to generate approximately $15 million in 2024-25 to recover the cost of providing services. Appropriation and revenue related to the fees will be included in the 2024-25 recommended budget for SBCFPD.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The ordinance relating to the 2024-25 fees for SBCFPD and to repeal Ordinance Nos. FPD 23-02 and FPD 23-03 was introduced on March 26, 2024, Item No. 88. The recommendation before the Board of Directors is to adopt the ordinance on the Consent Calendar.
The ordinance will adopt the fees charged by the SBCFPD for Fiscal Year 2024-25. The repeal of Ordinance Nos. FPD 23-02 and FPD 23-03 and establishment of SBCFPD's 2024-25 fees will be effective July 1, 2024.
