Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to non-financial Contract No. 23-881 with Total Longterm Care Inc. DBA InnovAge California PACE - Inland Empire, to add an additional program letter of agreement for neurology resident physicians to participate in rotations in psychiatry/memory and behavioral disorders, with no change to the contract term of August 22, 2023 through August 21, 2028.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) and underlying Affiliation Agreement with Total Longterm Care Inc. DBA InnovAge California PACE - Inland Empire (InnovAge) is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Amendment with InnovAge will enable Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) neurology resident physicians to obtain specialized clinical training in psychiatry/memory and behavioral disorders at InnovAge. The volume and patient mix at InnovAge will provide a suitable educational opportunity to the ARMC resident physicians. The accreditation bodies for medical residency programs have specific requirements as to the numbers and types of patients to whom a resident physician must provide care in order to complete the residency program and become eligible for board certification.
