RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1, including a non-standard term, to Revenue Subaward Agreement No. 20-572 with the University of Cincinnati on behalf of its National Institutes of Health StrokeNet National Coordinating Center relating to studies on intracerebral hemorrhage patients, amending the name of the pass-through entity and the language relating to modifications to the contract, and extending the term for an additional two years, for a total period of July 14, 2020 through April 30, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as there is no cost to the County to participate in the clinical trial studies and results in revenue to the County. The University of Cincinnati on behalf of its National Institutes of Health (NIH) StrokeNet National Coordinating Center will pass through funding to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) of $10,810 per participating patient for clinical trials. This funding does not require a match from the County. The amount of revenue received will be dependent on the number of eligible patients to participate in the clinical trials. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the ARMC 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
