Receive and file the 2024 Housing Element Annual Progress Report, containing housing production data for calendar year 2023 as required by the California Department of Housing and Community Development.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no financial impact to receive and file this Housing Element Annual Progress Report (APR).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Each city and county in California are required to prepare an APR on the jurisdiction's progress in implementing its Housing Element (Government Code Section 65400). The Housing Element APR fulfills statutory requirements to report certain housing information, including: the local agency's progress in meeting its share of regional housing needs (i.e., applications, entitlements, permits and certificates of occupancy), certain rezoning activities, actions taken towards completion of housing element programs, and local efforts to remove governmental constraints to the development of housing.

The County remains compliant with the implementation of the Housing Element. Here are the current APR highlights:
* Dwelling Units: Construction comprised of 373 single-family dwellings, 102 multi-family dwellings, and 92 accessory dwelling units in the unincorporated areas of the county in 2023.
