RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 23-148 with Next Gen Neuro, LLC for electroencephalography monitoring and related services, extending the term of the contract for an additional six months, for a total contract term of February 28, 2023 through October 26, 2024 with no change to the not-to-exceed contract amount of $611,520.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $611,520 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2023-24 budget and will be included in the 2024-25 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This Amendment will extend the contract term of Contract No. 23-148 with Next Gen Neuro, LLC (Next Gen) for an additional six months to give ARMC additional time to complete a competitive solicitation process. The Amendment will allow ARMC to continue to receive real time remote electroencephalography monitoring and related services during the six months.
