RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Deaerator Replacement Project Re-Bid, located at 400 N. Pepper Avenue in Colton.
2. Authorize the Director of the Project and Facilities Management Department to advertise for competitive bids for the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Deaerator Replacement Project Re-Bid.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) Deaerator Replacement Project (Project) (WBSE 10.10.0847) budget of $1,610,483 is funded by ARMC Enterprise Fund and approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) as part of the 2023-24 Capital Improvement Program budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The existing Deaerator at the ARMC Central Plant, has reached its intended lifecycle of 15 years, and is currently subject to imminent failure. The Project and Facilities Management Department (PFMD) developed plans and specifications for a Project to replace the ageing equipment. On November 14, 2023 (Item No. 51), the Board approved the plans and specifications for the Project and authorized advertising for bids. On January 25, 2024, no bids were received for the Project.
PROCUREMENT
PFMD will advertise for the competitive bids for the Project on Friday, April 26, 2024. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for prospective bidders is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the ARMC loading dock parking lot located at 400 North Pepper Avenue, in Colton.
