Recommendation
Authorize the San Bernardino County Library to accept a gift from the Lake Arrowhead Friends of the Library Group, in the amount of $20,000, to support library programming and technological updates for the Lake Arrowhead Branch Library.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). A budget adjustment is not requested at this time but will be included in future budget reports presented to the Board of Supervisors (Board) for approval.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Acceptance of the $20,000 gift from the Lake Arrowhead Friends of the Library Group will allow the County Library to update shelving for physical library materials in the Lake Arrowhead Branch Library (Lake Arrowhead Library). Updating these features will enhance the customer experience at the Lake Arrowhead Library.
County Policy 06-01 and Standard Practice 06-01SP requires Board approval of gifts and donations having a value greater than $10,000.
