Recommendation

Adopt the 2024 State and Federal Legislative Platform, which outlines San Bernardino County’s legislative and political advocacy priorities for 2024.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Pursuant to San Bernardino County (County) Policy 04-01, the County develops its annual State and Federal Platform (Platform). Developed in coordination with the County Board of Supervisors, County departments, and Board-Governed Separated Entities, the Platform outlines the County’s political advocacy agenda for the year and is a valuable tool to assist the County’s legislative delegation in advancing regional policy and funding priorities. The Platform is grounded in principles of fiscal stability, preservation of local control, efficient service delivery and operations, and inter-agency cooperation.
