BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On January 17, 2023, the Real Estate Services Department acquired a three-story building of approximately 50,710 square feet to provide permanent space for County departments. The Department is one of three departments occupying this space. The move is from the Department’s existing location at 157/175 W. Fifth Street, First Floor, in San Bernardino to the Premises.
To prepare the new location for Department staff to move in, the purchase of new technical infrastructure is required to support up to 140 staff with phones and data lines for computer equipment. The third floor office area at the Premises, does not have any telecommunication equipment readily available to support staff with phones, data lines, internet, and Wi-Fi. The Department must move to the new site in phases and cannot transfer their current technical equipment to the new site, as both locations must be able to support staff during the transition.
PROCUREMENT
All items will be purchased in accordance with County Policy 11-04: Procurement of Goods, Supplies, Equipment and Services.
