FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Lake Gregory Playground Project will be managed by the Lake Gregory Company and funded by contributions and donations made by the Lake Gregory community to the Lake Gregory Community Recreation Company (Operator) in the amount of $62,759, funds from the Lake Gregory Capital Investment Improvement Fund in the amount of $175,000 (6520002751), and funds from the Community Services Upgrades Reserve Fund in the amount of $237,760, for a total project cost of $475,520. The 2025-26 budget adjustments are recommended as follows:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On February 9, 2021 (Item No. 57), the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved Operation and Management Agreement No. 21-117 (Agreement) with the Operator for the management of daily park operations at Lake Gregory Regional Park (Park) for a period of fifteen years. The Board also approved a Capital Investment Improvement Fund to be established where the County deposited $1.65 million intended for the purpose of paying for construction, modernization and improvements to the Park and its facilities, including necessary rehabilitation, rebuilding and replacement of buildings, structures, facilities, and improvements in the Park and where the Operator annually deposits $50,000.
The Operator has requested to use funds from the Capital Investment Improvements Fund for the design and construction of a playground at Lake Gregory Regional Park, in an origami tower design style that matches the surrounding environment blending the playground with the surrounding trees. The Operator will also use donations from the community to supplement the Lake Gregory Capital Investment Improvement Funds and the Community Services Upgrades Reserve Fund to create a destination playground at the Park.
PROCUREMENT
The Operator will procure services for design and construction of the playground in accordance with the Agreement.
