FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $84,000 is funded by the State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurance, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) to Service Agreement No. 24-995 (Agreement) with UMAC dba Mammo.com (Mammo) will enable ARMC to continue to receive preventative maintenance and service for ARMC’s Hologic Selenia Mammography system (System), ensuring ARMC remains compliant with annual state routine preventative maintenance requirements.
On October 22, 2024 (Item No. 6), as a result of a non-competitive solicitation, the Board of Supervisors approved the Agreement with Mammo for the provision of service and preventative maintenance on imaging equipment in the amount of $28,000, for the term of October 22, 2024 through October 21,2025.
ARMC recommends approval of the Amendment to enable ARMC to continue providing for the safety, health and social service needs of County residents by ensuring the System is operational and in compliance with State routine preventative maintenance requirements.
