Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1, effective December 7, 2021, to Contract No. 21-684 with Executive Facilities Services, Inc. to provide custodial services for 17 locations in the area identified as Zone 5 Central San Bernardino, correcting the contractor’s corporate legal name, with no change to the contract not to exceed amount of $4,538,132, or the contract period of November 1, 2021 through October 31, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the recommended contract amendment for the San Bernardino County (County) - owned buildings will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no cost associated with a correction to the corporate legal name of Executive Facilities Services, Inc.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Real Estate Services Department - Facilities Management (RESD-FM) is responsible for providing custodial services for County-owned and some leased facilities. Due to the number of buildings that require service and the geographical size of the County, private custodial service providers are contracted to service certain locations throughout the County.
In its most recent procurement of custodial services, RESD-FM divided the County into six custodial zones. Contract No. 21-684 provides custodial services at 17 locations in the area identified as Zone 5 Central San Bernardino reflected below:

PROCUREMENT
The County conducted a competitive process, Request for Proposal FMD121-FM-4033 issued December 28, 2020, to procure custodial services for 17 locations in Zone 5 Central San Bernardino. At the conclusion of the evaluation process, the evaluators identified Executive Facilities Services, Inc., as the proposer that would provide the best value and quality to the County in performing the required custodial services for 17 locations in Zone 5 Central San Bernardino.
On September 14, 2021 (Item No. 40), the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved Contract No. 21-684 in an amount not to exceed $4,538,132 for the period of November 1, 2021 through October 31, 2026, to provide custodial services for 17 locations in the area defined as Zone 5 Central San Bernardino.
Contract No. 21-684 was executed by a legal representative of Executive Facilities Services, Inc., but contained clerical errors that misstated the corporate legal name as Executive-Suite Services, Inc. The recommended amendment to Contract No. 21-684 will correct the corporate legal name to Executive Facilities Services, Inc.
