Recommendation
Approve employment contract between the County of San Bernardino and Savanah Coble effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021 as Event Coordinator, for the total annual cost of $64,960. (Presenter: Beahta R. Davis, Director, 387-2340)

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The estimated annual cost of $64,960 will be covered by revenue received for weddings, receptions and other events at Lake Gregory Regional Park. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Regional Park Department’s (Department) 2020-21 budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department took over the management and operations at Lake Gregory Regional Park on January 1, 2020, including the scheduling of and coordination of weddings and other events at the San Moritz Lodge and what is known as the Wildflower Wedding location. In April of 2020, the Department hired Savanah Coble through Amtec, a County contracted temporary hiring service provider, to provide event coordination support services.
The recommended employment contract will engage Savanah Coble on an ongoing basis to provide these event coordination support services effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021. Either party may terminate the contract at any time without cause with a 14-day prior written notice to the other party. The contract may be terminated for just cause immediately by the County.
