RECOMMENDATION(S)

Recommendation

Approve Revenue Agreement with Victor Valley Union High School District for emergency dispatch services, provided by the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, in the amount of $22,306, for the period of February 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue of $22,306 for 2025-26 includes the full recovery of direct costs to provide emergency dispatch services to the Victor Valley Union High School District (VVUHSD). Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator’s (Department) 2025-26 budget.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

When requested by outside agencies, the Department provides dispatch services for emergencies and non-emergencies using existing personnel and equipment, with minimal operational impact. These services will allow the VVUHSD’s designated staff to have radio contact with the Department’s dispatch centers in case of an emergency that requires law enforcement personnel to respond.

 

Approval of this item will provide increased protection of people and property within the VVUHSD jurisdiction.
