Body

COUNTY AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Provide for the Safety, Health and Social Service Needs of County Residents.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the non-financial Transfer Agreement (Agreement) does not have any costs associated. Each facility will be responsible for billing the applicable third-party payors for the costs associated with patient care provided at the respective facilities.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Approval of the Agreement with Olive Tree, a San Bernardino County congregate living health facility, will enable ARMC to provide acute care services when residents require a higher level of care.

Federal law requires congregate living facilities to establish transfer agreements with an acute care hospital. The Agreement allows Olive Tree to transfer patients to ARMC, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

All transfers will follow applicable laws, regulatory standards, and ARMC policies. The Agreement promotes patient safety, continuity of care, and timely transfer of patients and medical records.

ARMC recommends approval of this Agreement to provide care and services to residents that require medical needs not available at Olive Tree.

PROCUREMENT

Not applicable.
