BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Court Appointed Special Advocate of San Bernardino County (CASA) has been designated by Children’s Network to provide credit card processing services at Children’s Network events.   CASA shall act as a fiscal agent during Children’s Network events for the collection of registration fees, exhibitor fees, book sales, and purchases of materials from attendees.  CASA will provide documentation of all funds collected on behalf of Children’s Network for each event. Following receipt of a bank statement documenting credit card transaction amounts and bank charges, CASA shall provide the funds collected, minus any bank related charges, to Children’s Network. Children’s Network will not be charged by CASA for these credit card processing services.

In 1985, the San Bernardino Grand Jury recommended that an inter-agency council be established to study and coordinate services for children in San Bernardino County.  The Children’s Network was created the following year in an effort to improve outcomes for children and their families.  Children’s Network helps to establish and support partnerships with other public and private child serving agencies throughout San Bernardino County and beyond.
