RECOMMENDATION(S)

Recommendation

Acting as the governing body of the Bloomington Recreation and Park District, adopt ordinance to establish various recreation and park activity fees for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and to repeal Ordinance No. SD 23-06, which was introduced on March 26, 2024, Item No. 85.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Fees for the Bloomington Recreation and Park District (District) are estimated to generate approximately $86,500 in revenue for 2024-25. The vast majority of the District’s cost for providing services is funded through property tax revenue. Appropriation and revenue related to the fees will be included in the District's 2024-25 Recommended Budget.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The ordinance to establish various recreation and park activity fees for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and to repeal Ordinance No. SD 23-06 was introduced on March 26, 2024, Item No. 85. The recommendation before the Board of Directors is to adopt the ordinance on the Consent Calendar.

 

The ordinance will adopt the fees charged by the District for Fiscal Year 2024-25. The repeal of Ordinance No. SD 23-06 and establishment of the 2024-25 fees will be effective July 1, 2024.
