RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to Revenue Agreement No. 24-660 with LaSalle Medical Associates, for outpatient ancillary and specialty medical services, extending the term by two years for a total contract term of January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2027.
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to maintain the confidentiality of the amendment pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1457(c)(1).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The amendment to the revenue agreement will be utilized to ensure continued reimbursement to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) from LaSalle Medical Associates (LaSalle) for providing outpatient care to managed care plan members who are assigned to LaSalle. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the ARMC 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the Amendment to Professional Services Agreement (Agreement) No. 24-660 with LaSalle will allow ARMC to continue to be reimbursed for healthcare services provided by ARMC to managed care plan members assigned to LaSalle. LaSalle is an Independent Practice Association that contracts with health plans to arrange care for their managed care members. Under these arrangements, LaSalle is responsible for ensuring that its assigned members receive appropriate healthcare services, either directly through its network or by contracting with outside providers when necessary.
On July 23, 2024 (Item No. 6), the Board of Supervisors approved the Agreement No. 24-660 with LaSalle with a term of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025 for the reimbursement of outpatient care services provided by ARMC to LaSalle members. Due to continued negotiations, the Agreement was not approved until July 23, 2024, resulting in the retroactive effective date of January 1, 2023.
ARMC recommends approval of this amendment as it will ensure reimbursement to the County for outpatient care services provided at ARMC to LaSalle members and allow ARMC to operate in a fiscally-responsible and business-like manner.
