BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On December 17, 2019 (Item No. 22), the Board of Supervisors approved the Chino Airport A-550 Remodel Project at Chino Airport as part of the First Quarter Budget Report - Maintenance and Capital Improvement Program for fiscal year 2019-20. After detailed review and investigation by the Real Estate Service Department - Project Management (RESD-PM), it was determined that the project required an increase in the amount of $50,000 from $500,000 to $550,000, based on unforeseen conditions of asbestos at the floor mastic and drywall requiring abatement in three areas of the administration building (A-550).
Approval of this budget adjustment aligns with the County and Chief Executive Officer’s Goals and Objectives to Improve County Government Operations, Operate in a Fiscally-Responsible and Business-Like Manner, Ensure Development of a Well-Planned, Balanced and Sustainable County, Provide for the Safety, Health and Social Service Needs of County Residents and Pursue County Goals and Objectives by Working with Other Agencies by allowing the Department to work with RESD-PM to renovate this airport amenity.
