Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Revenue Contract No. 23-1236 with Children's Fund, Inc., to amend the fiscal language, with no change to the contract period of November 14, 2023, through October 31, 2026, or the total contract amount of $258,000.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Revenue Contract No. 23-1236 (Contract) amount of $258,000 is funded by Children's Fund, Inc. (Children's Fund). Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Preschool Services Department (PSD) 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Children's Fund is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1986 and is the public/private partnership component between San Bernardino County (County) and Children's Network, a governmental agency under Human Services (HS) whose role is to bring together all agencies within the County that serve children and facilitate collaboration and information.
The mission of Children's Fund is to ensure that children up to age 18 and transitional-aged foster youth aged 18 to 25 who are at-risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment receive adequate food, shelter, and clothing. Children's Fund helps provide programs that match these populations to available resources and services through a comprehensive resource distribution network.
