Recommendation
Approve a non-financial Affiliation Agreement with American Education Systems Corp. dba American College of Healthcare and Technology, to allow Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing students to obtain onsite training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, for the five-year period of May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the Affiliation Agreement with American Education Systems Corp. dba American College of Healthcare and Technology (ACH) is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This Affiliation Agreement will provide onsite training to Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing students from ACH, who assist in the delivery of care to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) patients. As a teaching hospital, ARMC has a number of agreements with educational institutions to provide onsite training for students. The clinical training is necessary for students to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications that will provide for safety, health, and social service needs of county residents.

The volume and diversity of ARMC patients provides a comprehensive educational opportunity to students from ACH, which is a fully accredited educational institution. ACH will contact ARMC prior to the beginning of each semester to determine the...
