RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. 20-287, with Aspiranet to provide Transitional Housing Program-Plus services to young adults formerly in foster care, updating contract language to delineate between nonparenting and parenting placements, increasing the rate of pay for parenting placements, and increasing the total contract amount by $100,000, from $5,500,000 to $5,600,000, with no change to the contract period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2025.
2. Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 24-313, with Walden Environment, Inc., dba Walden Family Services to provide Transitional Housing Program-Plus services to young adults formerly in foster care, updating contract language to delineate between nonparenting and parenting placements and increasing the rate of pay for parenting placements, with no change to the total contract amount of $1,100,000 or the contract period of April 10, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total increase for $100,000 is funded with existing County local share, which may include Discretionary General Funding, 1991 Realignment, and 2011 Realignment. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Human Services Administrative Claim 2024-25 budget.
