Recommendation
Approve Revenue Agreement (State Agreement No. 23-0529-032-SF) with the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Pierce's Disease Control Program, for the performance of surveys, inspections and control services related to the Pierce's Disease Control Program for a maximum reimbursement of $31,685.13, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue agreement, for a maximum reimbursement of $31,685.13, will be funded by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), Pierce's Disease Control Program (Program). Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Agriculture / Weights & Measures (AWM) 2024-25 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This revenue agreement with CDFA will reimburse AWM for performing surveys, inspections and control services related to the Program.

The Program is intended to prevent the movement of the Glassy-Winged sharpshooter insect, which can carry and transmit the Peirce's Disease plant bacterium, to non-infested areas of the state. As part of the Program, the County would receive reimbursement for the work performed.
