RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 26-24 with Dillon M. Lesovsky to provide services as a Legislative Assistant to Elected Official, to amend the language regarding the participation in the Dependent Care Assistance Plan and Flexible Spending Account Plan for medical expense reimbursement, and leave provisions, effective March 24, 2026, with no change to the estimated annual cost of $230,343 (Salary $173,451 and Benefits $56,892), or contract term of January 24, 2026 through January 23, 2029.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no change to the estimated annual cost for 2025-26, funded within the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Department) existing 2025-26 budget. Sufficient appropriation will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
With the enactment of Senate Bill 2 and other police reform and accountability bills, it is extremely important for the Department to closely monitor and analyze legislation for operational impact to ensure compliance. The Legislative Assistant to Elected Official serves as the primary liaison between the Department and key associations, policy makers, and governmental agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, developing communication to strengthen the Department's partnerships.
