RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, approve Amendment No. 9 to Revenue Agreement No. 18-397, effective July 1, 2025, increasing the annual compensation amount by $458,208, from $6,227,931 to $6,686,139, to compensate the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District for its costs of providing fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of Adelanto, with no change to the contract term of July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of Amendment No. 9 (Amendment) to Revenue Agreement No. 18-397 (Agreement) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this is a revenue contract. The City of Adelanto (City) is compensating San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) for the cost of providing services in accordance with the terms of the Agreement. This Amendment will increase the annual compensation to SBCFPD by $458,208 for total revenue of $6,686,139 for 2025-26. Sufficient revenue and appropriation for this Agreement are included in SBCFPD's 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
