RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Accept the allocation from the California Department of Aging for Families First Coronavirus Response Act funding to support nutrition programs, in the amount of $1,143,358, for the period of March 20, 2020 through September 30, 2021.
2. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post the adjustments as indicated in the Financial Impact section below to the Department of Aging and Adult Services 2019-20 budget in the amount of $1,143,358 for the allocation to allow sufficient appropriation to pay for nutrition program services (Four votes required).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not require additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The allocation from the California Department of Aging (CDA) in the amount $1,143,358 is 100% federally ($1,143,358) funded. The Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is requesting a budget adjustment to the 2019-20 budget for this COVID related funding. Adequate appropriation and revenue will be included in DAAS' future recommended budgets.
