RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to post notice of vacancies on February 10, 2026, for one position on the Board of Directors for the Mojave Desert Resource Conservation District and one position on the Board of Directors for the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District.
2. Set a date of February 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. as the last day to submit applications for the position of Director on each of the respective Boards.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Mojave Desert and Inland Empire Resource Conservation Districts have informed the County of the vacancy on the Districts' Board of Directors. Approval of this item will direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to post notice of vacancies for one position on the Board of Directors for the Mojave Desert Resource Conservation District and one position on the Board of Directors for the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District and set Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. as the deadline to submit applications for each position. These recommended actions are necessary to comply with the California Public Resources Code.
