RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Adopt Resolution creating the Bloomington Municipal Advisory Council.
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to post a notice of vacancy pursuant to the Maddy Act for members of the Bloomington Municipal Advisory Council, consisting of five members and one alternate.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not require the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Sufficient appropriation exists within the Fifth District's 2024-25 budget to fund any cost related to this action.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Pursuant to San Bernardino County Code 12.4509, all Municipal Advisory Councils (MACs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) automatically dissolve upon the end of each term of the County Supervisor who represents the Supervisorial district in which the respective MAC or AC is located. The terms of all sitting MAC and AC members will also expire as of that date.
On January 6, 2025, the term for the County Supervisors elected from the First, Third, and Fifth Supervisorial Districts will end, and because all three County Supervisors were reelected, they will begin new terms. At the end of a County Supervisor's term, all MACs and ACs established by each County Supervisor for their specific district dissolved, and Board of Supervisors (Board) action is required to re-establish a MAC or AC.
