RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 4400025102 with Innovative Design and Sheet Metal Products, Inc., dba Innovative Emergency Equipment, to continue the provision of vehicle safety equipment installation and removal services, increasing the amount by $350,000, from $200,000 to a new not to exceed amount of $550,000, and extending the term by one year, for the total term of June 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The aggregate amount of $550,000 for Contract No. 4400025102 (Contract) with Innovative Design and Sheet Metal Products, Inc., dba Innovative Emergency Equipment (Innovative), for vehicle safety equipment installation and removal services will be funded within the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Department) 2024-25 budget ($150,000) and is included in the 2025-26 budget ($200,000).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department's Automotive Division acquires a combination of sedans, utility vehicles, prisoner transport vans, undercover vehicles, 4x4s, and off-highway vehicles for safety operations.
