Approve Contract with Golden Star Technology, Inc., to upgrade the existing Wi-Fi wireless network solution, for an amount not to exceed $779,730, for the contract term of April 8, 2025 through April 7, 2030.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $779,730 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2024-25 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the contract to upgrade the Wi-Fi wireless network solution (Contract) with Golden Star Technology, Inc. (GST) will allow ARMC to upgrade the current Wi-Fi wireless network solution. ARMC's current Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure has reached end of life and can no longer support ARMC's current and expanding needs. The upgrade to the Wi-Fi wireless network infrastructure will provide continued support, redundancy and expandability.
