Accept the Certified Election Results for the 2025 Statewide Special Election held on November 4, 2025, on file with the Clerk of the Board and the Registrar of Voters.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the acceptance of the Certified Election Results is non-financial in nature.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Registrar of Voters (ROV) conducted the 2025 Statewide Special Election in compliance with California Elections and Government Codes. Ballots were cast by 543,724 eligible voters in the elections, which equated to a 44.17 percent turnout of all registered voters in the election.
The sole contest on the ballot was State Proposition 50 regarding congressional redistricting.
ROV completed the canvass on December 2, 2025, 28 days following Election Day. Some of the canvass activities included:
* Processing more than 207,000 ballots after Election Day, including: damaged ballots; all provisional ballots; all ballots cast by voters who conditionally registered to vote after the October 20, 2025, registration deadline; and mail ballots, including those without a signature on the envelope or having a signature that did not initially appear to compare to the signature on file with the voter's registration documents, those received on November 4, 2025, and all mail ballots postmarked by Election Day and recei...
