RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, approve Amendment No. 1 to Memorandum of Understanding No. 22-1278 with the San Bernardino Regional Emergency Training Center for San Bernardino County Fire Protection District to provide Instructor Led Trainings, amending the instructor rates for 2023-24 effective July 1, 2023, with all other contract terms remaining in effect through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The actual cost for San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) to provide onsite Instructor Led Trainings at the San Bernardino Regional Emergency Training Center (SBRETC) will vary depending on the number of trainings scheduled. Services performed during fiscal year 2023-24 will be billed to the SBRETC at the updated hourly rates as identified in Amendment No. 1 to provide full cost recovery for SBCFPD. Sufficient appropriation and revenue for this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be included in SBCFPD's 2023-24 recommended budget and in future recommended budgets.
