RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 1, effective October 10, 2023, to Contract No. 23-312 (Federal Award No. G23LA0001A) with the Office of National Drug Control Policy for the 2023 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program, accepting a supplemental grant award in the amount of $31,500, increasing the total award from $1,149,330 to $1,180,830, with no change to the performance period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024.
2. Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator to execute and submit the supplemental grant award documents and any non-substantive amendments on behalf of the County, as requested by the Office of National Drug Control Policy, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator to transmit Amendment No. 1 grant award to County Contract No. 23-312 (Federal Award No. G23LA0001A), and future amendments to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.
4. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post adjustments to the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's 2023-24 budget, as detailed in the Financial Impact section (Four votes required).
