Recommendation
Authorize the San Bernardino County Museum to accept a donation in the amount of $100,000 from the San Bernardino County Museum Foundation, to be used for the installation of a new exhibit focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Appropriation and revenue associated with this donation are included in the San Bernardino County Museum's (Museum) 2023-24 budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The San Bernardino County Museum Foundation (Museum Foundation) is the 501(c)(3) support organization for the Museum, providing funding to the Museum from fundraising activities. This donation is the result of a grant written and received by the Museum Foundation from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians on behalf of the Museum for the development of an interactive exhibit designed to explore the concepts of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through hands on activities.
Pursuant to County Policy 06-01 and Standard Practice 06-01SP, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approval is required to accept gifts or donations valued over $10,000.
