Body
COUNTY AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER GOALS & OBJECTIVES
Provide for the Safety, Health and Social Service Needs of County Residents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this Data Service Project Sign-Up Form with the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization (SVS PSO) is a Revenue Agreement wherein ARMC will receive reimbursement from SVS PSO for participation in a Vascular Quality Initiative Project (Project) based on the payable visit schedule. The total revenue to ARMC is variable and cannot be determined at this time, as reimbursement is dependent upon the number of eligible patients enrolled in the Project and completion of the applicable follow-up visits and required data submissions through the SVS registry.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the Data Service Project Sign-Up Form establishes participation with the SVS PSO in a Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) project evaluating the Endologix Percutaneous Transmural Arterial Bypass (Detour™) System. The Project is intended to support systematic collection and analysis of clinical data related to use of the Detour System, with a focus on patient outcomes, procedural performance, safety, and quality of care. Participation would allow the ARMC to contribute relevant clinical data to the VQI framework for quality improvement, benchmarking, and evaluation of real-world outcomes associated with this emerging vascular intervention.
Fivos, Inc. (Fivos) provides access to its PATHWAYS® clinical data performance platform, which captures procedure and follow-up data submitted by ARMC for the Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Quality Initiative® (SVS VQI®) registries. The data submitted through the Fivos platform support the VQI Project by facilitating the evaluation of clinical outcomes, quality measures, and patient safety associated with the use of the Detour™ System.
On April 21, 2026 (Item No. 11), the Board of Supervisors approved PSO Service Agreement No. 26-291 with SVS PSO for access to medical record data for four registries held by FIVOS, Inc., in the amount of $909 per procedure registry for an annual total of $3,636, commencing on the effective date and automatically renewing from year to year thereafter.
The SVS PSO Agreement establishes the legal framework for ARMC’s participation in the SVS PSO. Through this contractual relationship, ARMC is eligible to participate in this Project. The Data Service Project Sign-Up Form then documents ARMC’s enrollment and participation, including the terms applicable to the submission of study data and reimbursement for that data.
ARMC recommends approval of the Form, to facilitate participation in the VQI Project and support the evaluation of the Detour™ System, providing patients with enhanced healthcare encounters and access to an advanced level of care.
