RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the submission of a grant application to the California Department of Health Care Services, for continued funding in the amount of $526,611, for the Federal McKinney Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness Program 2024-25 for the provision of services to individuals who have a severe mental illness, or who have co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders, and who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
2. Authorize the Director of the Department of Behavioral Health, as the County Mental Health Plan Director, to execute and submit the grant application documents and any non-substantive changes, for the Federal McKinney Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness Program 2024-25, as required by the California Department of Health Care Services, on behalf of the County, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Director of the Department of Behavioral Health to transmit the grant application and any non-substantive amendments to the application in relation to the Federal McKinney Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness Program 2024-25 to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.
