RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Funding Agreement No. 20-679 with the Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino County, for Breathmobile(r) Program services, to increase the revenue amount by $549,349 from $1,086,537 to $1,635,886, and to extend the term for one year, for a total term of August 25, 2020 through June 30, 2024, retroactively effective as of July 1, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the Amendment will increase funding to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in the amount of $549,349 for a total funding amount of $1,635,886 for certain Breathmobile(r) Program services provided to children ages five and under. Expenses, such as salaries, vehicle maintenance, clinic supplies, and education material, for services provided to children over five years of age are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurance, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the ARMC 2023-24 budget.
