RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2, retroactively effective as of July 1, 2024, to Funding Agreement No. 20-679 with the Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino County, for the Breathmobile Program services, increasing the revenue amount by $603,217, from $1,635,886 to $2,239,103, and extending the term by one year, for a total contract term of August 25, 2020 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as Amendment No. 2 (Amendment) to Funding Agreement No. 20-679 (Agreement) will increase funding to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in the amount of $603,217, for a total funding amount not to exceed $2,239,103, for certain Breathmobile Program services provided to children ages five and under. Expenses, such as salaries, vehicle maintenance, clinic supplies, and education material, for services provided to children over five years of age are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurance, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the ARMC 2024-25 budget.
