RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Continue the Local Emergency Proclamation within San Bernardino County related to the 2025 December Adverse Weather Event that was initially proclaimed by the Director of Emergency Services on December 25, 2025, and ratified by the Board of Supervisors on December 29, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as there is no cost or financial impact associated with the continuation of this local emergency. San Bernardino County (County), however, has incurred costs resulting from this local emergency. These costs could potentially require the use of additional Discretionary General Funding. Should this occur, a future item will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors (Board) for approval.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Beginning on December 24, 2025, the start of an extreme weather event impacted various sections of the County and Los Angeles County. This event produced conditions of peril to the safety of persons and property within the County, in the form of infrastructure damage from extreme weather.
