Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 10-853 with Crest Forest Senior Citizens Club, Inc. exercising the option to extend the lease for an additional five year term from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2025. (Four votes required)

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Regional Parks Department (Department) will continue to receive $100 a month for the lease of the Leisure Shores building at Lake Gregory Regional Park

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Crest Forest Senior Citizens' Club (CFSCC) was formally established on March 15, 1960. The organization had 150 members in 1960 and currently has a membership of 250. Over its 60 year history in the Crestline Community the CFSCC has provided countless hours of community service. At this time the CFSCC manages three free senior lunches a week that are funded through grants administered by the Department of Aging & Adult Services. These lunches are especially important in light of COVID-19 and the requirements for our aging population to socially distance. All lunches are currently being provided in a drive-up environment where the members have no physical contact with staff.

The Leisure Shores building is located at the east end of Lake Gregory and was originally used as a bath house when Lake Gregory was a private resort. The CFSCC first occupied the Leisure Shores building in August of 1980 through a lease approved by...
