Recommendation
Approve non-financial Affiliation Agreement (State Contract No. 25-30140-000), including non-standard terms, with Department of State Hospitals - Patton, for dietetic intern students to obtain clinical experience at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's Nutrition Services Department, effective August 5, 2025 through June 30, 2030.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the Affiliation Agreement (Agreement) with Department of State Hospitals - Patton (Patton) is non-financial in nature.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the Agreement with Patton will enable Patton's dietetic students to participate in internships at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) to obtain onsite clinical experience in the Nutrition Services Department.
This clinical training is necessary for dietetic interns to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications. The Agreement with Patton ensures the interns receive required and vital training experience. By offering clinical rotation to the dietetic interns from Patton, ARMC will help the dietetic interns to achieve their acute care training and create qualified candidates able to serve patients and residents of the county.
