RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 2 to Intergovernmental Agreement No. 18-207, effective April 1, 2024, with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to increase the number of patrol vehicles provided by the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, without changes to the original term of April 17, 2018, through April 10, 2042.
2. Authorize the purchase of two patrol vehicles as unbudgeted fixed assets, in the total amount not to exceed $161,476.
3. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post adjustments to the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's 2023-24 budget, as detailed in the Financial Impact section (Four votes required).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Pursuant to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) No. 18-207, the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator (Sheriff) is reimbursed for all direct costs and for various administrative and overhead costs to provide law enforcement services to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (Tribe).
