Recommendation
Approve a Non-Financial Affiliation Agreement with California State University, Dominguez Hills, for students in the School of Nursing, to obtain clinical training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, for a period of five years effective upon execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the Affiliation Agreement with California State University, Dominguez Hills (Dominguez Hills) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the recommended agreement is non-financial in nature.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The affiliation agreement will provide for the safety, health, and social services needs of County residents by allowing Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) to provide clinical training to Dominguez Hills School of Nursing students, who as a result, will assist in the delivery of care to ARMC patients. As a teaching hospital, ARMC has a number of agreements with educational institutions to provide on-site clinical training for students. The clinical training is necessary for students to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications.
The volume and diversity of ARMC patients provides a comprehensive educational opportunity to students from Dominguez Hills, which is a fully accredited educational institution.
