Recommendation
Designate the Director of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center as the authorized representative of the San Bernardino County Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for state-sponsored health care programs for a period of five years, from December 5, 2023 through December 4, 2028.

Approval of the recommendations will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Family Planning, Access, Care and Treatment (PACT) is a state funded, family planning clinical services program to help narrow the gap between insured and uninsured individuals in California. The overall goal is to ensure that low-income individuals have access to health information, counseling, and family planning services to reduce the likelihood of an unintended pregnancy and to maintain optimal reproductive health.

The Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is currently enrolled in the PACT program to provide family planning services. Beginning in the first half of 2024, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will require all PACT providers to be electronically registered on the California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment and Retention System (CalHEERS) Family Planning, Access, Care and Treatment (Family PACT) portal.
