Adopt Ordinance to adjust the boundaries of the Havasu Palms Marina “no wake zone”, which was introduced on February 24, 2026, Item No. 49.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as it is non-financial in nature.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The ordinance to update the San Bernardino County Code to adjust the boundaries of the Havasu Palms Marina “no wake zone” was introduced February 24, 2026, Item No. 49. The expansion of the “no wake zone” in this area will limit the speed of vessels to five miles per hour to enhance public safety.  The change will not have an impact on navigation within Lake Havasu.

 

The recommendation before the Board of Supervisors today is to adopt the ordinance on the Consent Calendar.
