RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Award Contract to Syrusa Engineering, Inc., to provide construction management services for the Rock Springs Road Bridge Over the Mojave River Project, in an unincorporated area of Apple Valley, in an amount not to exceed $2,799,968.98, for the period of June 18, 2025 through June 17, 2030, or until completion of the project, whichever occurs first.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The construction management services costs of $2,799,968.98 for the Rock Springs Road Bridge Over the Mojave River Project in an Unincorporated Area of Apple Valley (Project) will be funded through a combination of Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funds, Measure I Major Local Highway Program - Victor Valley Subarea funds, Local Fee Plan fees in the Apple Valley subarea, and Discretionary General Funds allocated to the Department of Public Works (Department) as part of the 2014-15 Budget. Sufficient revenue and appropriation are included in the Department's 2025-26 Road Operations budget (6650002000 H15087) and will be included in future recommended budgets as necessary.
