RECOMMENDATION(S)

Recommendation

Approve monetary donation of $50,000 to the Sheriff’s Employee Assistance Team, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization, to provide services to support the well-being of the County Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator’s employees and their families.

Provide for the Safety, Health and Social Service Needs of County Residents.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost).  Sufficient appropriation is included in the Countywide Discretionary Fund 2025-26 budget.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Sheriff’s Employee Assistance Team, Inc. (SEAT) is a non-profit charitable organization that provides assistance to Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator’s (Department) employees, volunteers and retirees during critical situations, such as: major illnesses, accidents, living condition emergencies and deaths.  SEAT must utilize this donation to provide services to support the well-being of Department members and their families.
