Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 21-359 with ACCO Engineered Systems, Inc., for unforeseen and unexpected repair services for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration system, increasing the not-to-exceed contract amount by $700,000 from $2,383,710 to $3,083,710, with no change to the contract term of June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the cost of $700,000 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2024-25 budget and will be included in the 2025-26 recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Amendment with ACCO Engineered Systems, Inc. (ACCO) will increase the funds of Contract No. 21-359 by $700,000 to allow for additional unexpected or unforeseen repairs to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVACR) at ARMC.
